Dr. Liao has studied under Hsin-Yun Huang, an international viola soloist, and Choong-Jing Chang, the Principal viola of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Based in New York City, Dr. Liao has performed with a diverse range of groups and artists in iconic New York venues, including Le Poisson Rouge, the Symphony Space, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and more. She has performed internationally, including in Taiwan, Malaysia, and China. Dr. Liao has over twelve years of experience in teaching classical violin and viola to students of many ages and skill levels.
